The Pro Youth manual is one of the key outputs of the Erasmus+ funded project Pro Youth – Empowering youth workers and youths in the protection and prevention of honour violence (HV). It is aimed at supporting youth workers dealing with HV victims, or potential HV victims, and offers a series of interesting hints for the recognition of its signals and symptoms, situations, and conditions. BECOME A TRAINER
Training module – PRO YOUTH
The Training resources have been designed to provide trainers, youth workers, facilitators, and police with activities and hints to carry out a short 2–3-day training on various topics. From the Human Rights framework to words and concepts; from the recognition of different forms of violence to the questions helping recognize honour related conflict and potential risk for violence; from social and cultural control on violence to conflict management, and much more.
The 3-day training are addressed to trainers, youth workers, and facilitators while the 2-day training is designed for police officers.
Each course follows the same modular format and contains:
• a facilitator’s guide to the use of the material
• a series of training modules which include activities and notes.

INSTABUL CONVENTION
The Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence
(Istanbul Convention) is the first instrument in Europe to set legally binding standards specifically to prevent gender-based violence, protect victims of violence and punish perpetrators. The EU signed the Convention in June 2017. Accession now requires a Council Decision and prior consent by the European Parliament. Parliament adopted an interim resolution in September 2017 and continues to review progress.
THE CONVENTION ON RIGHTS OF THE CHILD
In 1989, world leaders made a historic commitment to the world’s children by adopting the United Nations
Convention on the Rights of the Child – an international agreement on childhood. It’s become the most widely
ratified human rights treaty in history and has helped transform children’s lives around the world.
DECLARATION OF SEXUAL RIGHTS
The World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) is a multidisciplinary, world-wide group of scientific societies, NGOs, and professionals in the field of human sexuality which promotes sexual health throughout the lifespan and through the world by developing, promoting and supporting sexology and sexual rights for all. The WAS accomplishes this by advocacy actions, networking, facilitating the exchange of information, ideas and experiences and advancing scientifically based sexuality research, sexuality education and clinical sexology, with a trans disciplinary approach.
